Perhaps the router doesn't need to have DD-WRT out of the box. If there are cheaper routers that are flashable, I'm fine with that. Or even doesn't need to be DD-WRT compatible, just needs to support a VPN. But before you start this fun (and quick) little project, do your due diligence and make sure your router is on the DD-WRT supported devices list. Otherwise, you may completely incapacitate your router. WRH54G has 8mb ram, 2mb flash memory. Would need a special dd-wrt build, but isnt supported by tomato.
